Autodesk Education PDB Update - Effective 6 March 2013

The following enhancements have been made to the Education Partner Database:
 
Mandatory ATC Site telephone and email
When editing or creating a Site record, the fields for a contact telephone number and email address are now required fields.

Note, the format of the telephone number has been standardized to “+countrycode,number” (e.g. +441252456000 for a UK number). If you enter a country code which does not match the country in the site address, you will be prompted to check the number is valid, and correct or accept the country code. 

Magellan ID is NOT a required field
When editing or creating a Site record, the “Magellan ID” is no longer marked as a required field

Mandatory ATC Organization contacts
When editing or creating an ORG record, the ATC Director, Legal Contact and Billing Contact are now all required fields. Note, if the contact is the same person in each case, you can use the copy function to copy the ATC Direct information into the other 3 fields.
 
Mandatory ATC Company Type field
When editing or creating a new ATC partner type, you will now be required to assign one of the ATC Company Types to the partner type. This is to ensure that all ATCs are identified as one of the categories. If none of the specified types is appropriate, you can use the Company Type “Other”.
 
Reminder: use of the Company Type “reseller” is important for any site belonging to a partner which is a reseller, even if the site in question is not itself a reseller outlet. This flag is used to identify ALL sites which are part of a reseller’s organization, and is needed to ensure future compatibility with ATC and reseller Locators.
 
Duplicates checking for new contact records
During creating a contact, the system will do enhanced checking of the database to identify whether there may be existing contact records for the contact you are creating. It will check both name and email addresses for duplicates in the database. It will offer you the potential matches, and if one of them is actually the person you are trying to create as a new contact, please use and amend the existing record instead.
 
Autodesk Internal Training Centers
A new partner type, called “Autodesk Internal Training Centers” has been added. This is for Autodesk Internal use only – do not use for any ATC or ATC-distributor use.
