IMPORTANT: Changes to PDB logins from 16th January
As announced in earlier notices, in the next few weeks, we will be making some fundamental changes to the tools and systems used to support the ATC and Academic Partners Programs. This notice is to inform you of the first change.
As of January 16th 2014, PDB will be updated with a new login mechanism; the current logins will no longer work as of that date. Login to PDB will be controlled using the new Identity Provider (IdP) system, and all PDB users will be given a new login and password, and a new URL to log in to. The new logins will be set to the same as the user’s email address, and all users must have a unique login (shared logins will no longer be allowed).
Engage will ensure that you all have valid user contact records to allow you to log in to PDB; please make sure you have notified Engage of all your users of PDB. (If you have given Engage all the information about your PDB users, no further action is required on this point.)
(Note: These logins will then also be used for other systems such as the Evaluation system, and the new FY15 ACI Portal using a “single-sign-on” process.)
On January 16th, you will each receive an email from the IdP system with your new login name and a temporary password, as well as the new URL. Please use this to log into the system and reset your password; then you will be able to access PDB, and reset your password and update your profile.
IMPORTANT: we will soon be sending further information on how the new login system will be used to access to the ATC Evaluation system for you and for the ATCs. We will stop using the “WAM” logins to the Evaluation system, and you will have full control of setting up evaluation system users in PDB/IdP. The target date for this change is 31st January.
ACTION Required:
• by January 31st 2014, you must ensure that all ATC contacts who use the Evaluation system are set up as contacts in PDB
• when IdP is available, use IdP to assign them access rights to the evaluation system
