ACTION: Benefits Of Using LinkedIn For Students

As you may be aware, for FY18 there is a target of 5,000 Fusion certifications. Within this number we are required to achieve 500 Fusion certifications from students who have connected their Fusion ACU badge to their LinkedIn account. For this reason we need to ask for your assistance to actively encourage students to setup their LinkedIn profile and link it to their Fusion ACU.



As of July we have achieved 46% of our annual goal (which is 500 badges) that are connected on LinkedIn.

We understand that LinkedIn may not be popular in all regions but there are many benefits for students to use it. It is worth noting that in a recent survey of human resource managers across multiple industries, 95% said they were interested in the micro-credentials of potential hires. This confirms that a major benefit of using LinkedIn is that a staggering 42% of HR managers turn to it to search for candidates.

But there are even more benefits for students as outlined below:

• Land internships or jobs while in school
• Gain connections from conference attendees

• Extend your resume
