Substituting a local event for initial ACI completion requirement
It has been reported that a number of instructors have attempted to register their attendance at a local class as a substitute for the online Autodesk software product learning modules on the IDP platform; and that in some cases these do not appear to have been reflected in the learning path as contributing to the requirements.
FYI, this is the process for the instructor to submit such a substitute event, where such substitution is approved (e.g. for language purposes). Please ensure your ACIs are aware of this process if appropriate.
The instructor will log in to IDP and go to their profile. From there, they can submit a “Maintenance record”.
- The selection must be “Substitute”, no other entry type in this field will be counted toward the initial issuance of ACI. All other types are related to badge maintenance.
- Select “Record of Course Substitution”
- Select a date
- Enter number of hours
- Enter a description of event
- Attach a PDF record of the event. Registration form, email, certificate, etc… You must attach a file in order for the “Submit” button to be active.
- Press Submit

Please note: because of the nature of these record submissions, we don’t allow users to change them after they have been submitted. Any changes to the records must be done by an IDP Site Administrator at Summit.
